I’m back home. I actually got back at about 6:45 PM but I relaxed, ate, and didn’t do much computer stuff. Now I just finished uploading pictures from yesterday and today in Nashville, including backstage at the Dove Awards. Here they are…

I’m going to post one more final post about my trip to Nashville tomorrow to finish up the coverage. It’ll just be me giving my final thoughts on the week, the city, and the events. But first, I’ll give you a journal of my traveling journeys today…

8:48 am CDT:

So I am sitting here at the Nashville International Airport and they don’t have free Wi-Fi, so I have to type this in word and copy and paste later.

It ends up my first flight to Chicago is delayed half an hour because of bad weather they have been having for the past two days. So I figured, okay, 30 minutes isn’t too bad. But that wasn’t the biggest pain in the butt. My second flight (from Chicago to Toronto) was cancelled altogether apparently for who knows what reason, so they gave me a ticket on a later flight that lands an hour and forty five minutes later. Man… It’s just my luck. I’m not too happy because now my layover is over two hours in Chicago, but whatever. There’s not much I can do. Well, actually, I guess that was before the delay on the first flight, so it will be at least half an hour shorter of a layover now… But if the second flight is delayed too, then I’ll really be ticked…

8:55 am CDT:

I’m sitting next to the gate where my plane will depart. Hopefully we’ll board by 9:15 am CDT since that’s half an hour after the original board time. Across from me are two older businessmen in suits with local accents. They seem nice enough though.

There is someone sitting a few aisles over with a CCM Magazine. I guess he’s coming from GMA Week too.

9:00 am CDT:

Oh, we just got word that they are canceling the delay. We are boarding shortly. Crazy… So I have to shut this down now.

12:22 pm CDT:

Well that whole canceling the delay was a fraud. They just wanted us on the plane. Once we got on the plane we had to wait at least thirty minutes or so on the runway. They just needed the plane to leave the gate because another plane needed it…

The flight was okay though. It was almost an hour and a half until we landed, then we had to wait about five extra minutes for ground crew to get the ramp to the plane.

Once I got off the plane, I took a much needed bathroom break and then checked to see the status on my new, hour and forty minutes later flight. Sure enough, it’s delay too. This time fifty minutes. Arg! Now it looks like I’m not going to land into Toronto until 4:20 pm EDT instead of the original 1:55 pm. Again, it’s just my luck. But oh well, not much else I can do.

Gosh, the top shell of my laptop is beginning to look worn. I take good care of my laptop, but I guess it’s determined to happen.

12:30 pm CDT:

I don’t think I’m getting a window seat on this flight. It stinks. But I may be wrong… It’s just a higher letter than I’ve seen before, so I’m assuming it’s a middle seat or something. I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

12:39 pm CDT:

I’m playing solitaire to help pass the time. I never play solitaire.

12:48 pm CDT:

I’m getting quite bored sitting around. Flying is fun, but I hate this sit around time. It’s making me tired. Hopefully my luggage makes it okay with all of these delays.

12:57 pm CDT:

If my flight leaves at 1:55 pm, then maybe we’ll be boarding in about half an hour. I hope so. Even though you still have to sit for another thirty minutes, it feels like you are getting somewhere.

1:00 pm CDT:

I just thought of something. Once I move all of my GMA Week stuff over to my main desktop PC, I can install Windows Vista finally and try it out. Awesome.

Well, I’m going to walk around a bit until it’s time to board. So I’ll probably insert more when I’m back in Toronto.

4:30 pm EDT:

I finally arrived in Toronto. My flight was delayed multiple times… What a pain in the butt.

5:25 pm EDT:

Customs lineup and waiting for the luggage was brutal. I’m finally heading home…
